Elim is often not ready to face the world! But life would never get on with itself if it always waited for us to be ready. She grew up incredibly blessed by all the educators and mentors around her, supportive of how she wanted to be a storyteller. As someone that has worked with children for the past ten years, Elim sees a great need in children’s media for emotional toolkits and feelings regulation curriculum. During her senior year at Wesleyan University, she took all that she had learned and created Needle and the Too Big World as a thesis project that received High Honors. Since then, she has let it guide her work.

An original children’s book by Elim Lee.
